About
Nineteen years building the people side of start-ups.

I founded Market Mavens, placing top business-school talent into growing firms, and pitched it on Sky TV's The Angel. I turned down investment from John Caudwell because the terms weren't right. That decision taught me more about leadership than the pitch did.
Then in-house: Google Ventures-backed Lost My Name, and Series D Secret Escapes. After that, VP of People at Arrival, where we scaled from 250 to 2,900+ people across 10+ countries, became LinkedIn's No.1 Top UK Start-up in 2020, and supported the C-suite through a NASDAQ listing at a $16bn valuation. I also led two global restructures affecting 1,000+ people.
Inception, funding rounds, public listing, restructure: I've been in the room for every stage.
Most recently VP of People at VC-backed XYZ Reality, rebuilding the People function's in-house talent, improving people team systems and operating model and supporting the C-suite and VPs through significant change programmes.
